Florentine Cake


2 eggs
7 tablespoons of sugar
7 tablespoons of oil
10 tablespoons of flour
1 sachet of baking powder
1 grated and squeezed orange
Powdered sugar


Work the eggs with the sugar. Add the oil, the grated and squeezed orange, the flour and the sifted yeast. Mix everything until you get an homogeneous consistency.

Pour the mixture into a buttered rectangular baking pan and sprinkled with breadcrumbs or flour.

Bake at 180° C for about 20-25 minutes.
Once it’s cooled, sprinkle with icing sugar.
